Federico Vanni has always had a deep love for Tuscany's Maremma region, where he was raised, and its rustic traditions. He accomplished his aim in 2001 when he founded the San Felo Wine Estate and began making remarkable wines that capture the characteristics of the area.

His mother Sandra (San), himself (Fe), and his brother Lorenzo (lo) are all honoured by the moniker San Felo.

The estate is located in the picturesque area adjacent to the Tyrrhenian Sea and has a total area of 50 hectares, 33 of which are used for growing vines.

Federico collaborates with renowned local winemaker Fabrizio Moltard, previously of Angelo Gaja, to produce exquisite wines that are a true representation of the area.
