As a friend of Riesling I can only agree that these are some of the finest Rieslings from Germany. But while most of the German wines made are in a dry style, dismissing those dry wines is wrong. One of the greatest importers of German wine, Rudi Wiest, organizes a Dry Wine Tour for years to introduce some of the greatest dry wines in the world made in Germany to the US. Finally,”Kabinett” is a ripeness level and NOT a sweetness level.

Kabinett, does not mean that the wine is dry. The dryness of a wine depends on the “restsugar”. A Kabinett can also be sweet with high restsugar.
