Primary tank ageing following soft press. The wine remains in tanks to age until the following spring. After creating this cuvee the wine is bottled ready for the secondary fermentation. Bright pale straw yellow and a delicate, persistent perlage. Fragrant and floral hints with delicate aromas of leavened dough and small mountain flowers.

Benguela Cove Cuvee 58 NV Brut allures with vivid aromas of candied apple, pear and sweet grass that comes to life when the fine mousse explodes on the surface. The expected bright acidity is balanced with a tangy finish, concluded with a fresh floral note. Absolutely delicious and versatile.  

True to the varietal grown in cooler climates, one is lured closer by aromas of Rosemary and Fynbos, a rich perfume and a savoury gloss with hints of pepper spice. Juicy ripe tannins adds structure with a youthful freshness to perch the bold fruit. The fruit follows through beautifully with a salty finish that lingers on the palate.

Benguela Cove Joie de Vivre Cap Classique exhibits a vibrant intensity and revels in elegance and style. On the nose, the MCC shows slight perfume and berry aromas followed by notes of nougat and brioche, while the palate is seductively fresh and focused with lingering mineral tones. The fine and soft mousse gives way to beautiful biscuit, red apple and nutty flavours on the palate, then subtly rounds off with a creamy complexity.

Benguela Cove Sauvignon Blanc has an attractive and racy character, toned with nuances of kiwi and citrus, elevated by hints of gunflint, a fresh minerality and great length to conclude. Pungent tropical aromas lingers on the palate with a persistent and mouth watering acidity.

Benguela Cove Pinot Noir has upfront red fruit which sets the stage for more subdued nuances of mulberry, rosehip and violets to follow suit. As it matures, this wine will unveil a more savoury play of bay leaf and thyme, hinting towards an Old World style. Pruned, sappy rosebush notes are indicative of youth with elegant floral notes that carries through. Fruit sweetness hits the back of the palate with porcelain-like tannins that will chisel this into a serious and powerful wine to be.

Benguela Cove Chardonnay shows aromas of melon, floral blooms and lime with nuances of gunflint and green apple. The palate is well balanced by integrated oaking, displaying notes of citrus, minerality and roasted nuts. It is austere, yet vibrant and textured, with a lingering and refreshing finish.

Light, straw-yellow with greenish nuances. Fragrant with hints of pear and apple with floral notes. Medium bodied with a refreshing acidity. Delicate and sapid, with a long lingering taste on the palate.

91 POINTS - Robert Parker - Intense and deep ruby red colour. The opening of this wine is characterized by aromas of black cherry, plum and blackberry, as well as vanilla, tobacco, licorice, clover and a pleasant hint of star anise. It gives the mouth a robust attack, with vigorous tannins, although already round and velvety.

Ruby red. Nose is characterised by hint of marasca cherry joined to a flavour of cassis. The wine is soft-despite its wealth of tannins. Beautifully noteworthy, well combined with the oak, and showing spicy hints of green pepper laid down on a musk background.

Chardonnay Sicilia DOC Grottarossa is produced from vines within South Central Sicily Agrigento-Caltanissetta. Following maceration on the skins and stainless steel fermentation, the wine then spends 3 months in French oak barriques. Straw yellow colour with gold highlights. It has a fragrant, exotic fruit bouquet of pineapple and kiwi, with hints of vanilla, lightly toasted. The body is rich, persistent, warm and harmonic
