A savoury, cedary, chocolatey nose is followed by a lovely, satisfying 'Chateauneuf du Pape' sort-of completeness Not a showy wine, but with impressive sustain and a lovely, savoury, gamey, woody complexity on the finish At 143%, this has restrained alcohol for Barossa (where 155% is not unusual), and good but not overt acidity - both of these components do their job, but neither sticks out; integrated and harmonious Well-balanced and very drinkable!
