This delicious, tiny-production wine is made from biodynamic Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvedre, Grenache and Viognier from the Butler Ranch vineyard, which sits at 1,500 feet on the eastern edge of the California Coast Range The first impression is of intense, complex aromas of spiced black fruit, cigar paper and espresso This is followed on the palate by ripe tannins framing a juicy, generous texture which enhances its elegant black fruit, anise, and subtle spice character The Butler will continue to develop layers of complexity with an additional five to ten years of cellaring This single vineyard blend was inspired by France s Rhone Valley and merged with our Mendocino home This ranch is seriously breathtaking and we really try to make a wine to do [it] justice — Bob Blue, Founding Winemaker
