Agiorgitiko is a Greek red wine grape varietal, alternatively referred to as Aghiorghitiko, which is one of the most extensively planted red grape varietals in Greece. The grape can be found all across the country, including Attik (Attica) and Makedonia (Macedonia), though it has historically been farmed in the Nemea region of the Peloponnese.

Agiorgitiko can display a wide range of qualities, from soft to quite tannic, depending on conditions in the growing and winemaking procedures. It is one of the most economically significant indigenous Greek types.

The grape is normally produced as a varietal, but in the region near Metsovo, it is famously mixed with Cabernet Sauvignon to produce the table wine known as katoi.

Red wines that have aged in oak barrels are frequently transformed into rosés in the Nemea region. The wines have a reputation for being very fruity but frequently lack body and acidity.

The red wine made from the grape is typically peppery and has plum undertones. It has good fruitiness and colouring but little acidity.

In order to facilitate the production of fewer but more concentrated grapes that mature beyond mid-September, Agiorgitiko is typically planted in dry, infertile soil.
