Like the nation it calls home, Andeluna Wine Cellars is a winery and vineyard steeped in history and romance. The name Andeluna was chosen to represent the romance and history of the Argentine moon lighting the spectacular Andes Mountains that frame the Uco Valley close to the town of Tupungato.
This stunning location served as the inspiration for this name. Great vineyards that grow traditional varietals combined with top-notch winemaking provide flavours and wines that are unique to that region. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay are some of the classic Old World grape varietals that Argentina has been cultivating and perfecting for years.
Andeluna's feet, however, do not rest on Old World soils. Instead, they are firmly established in the New World in a breathtaking network of vineyards that ascend the Andean foothills. Vineyards that were formerly a piece of the estate owned by the offspring of one of the pioneering families of Argentina's wine business, who moved from Italy, surround the 48,000 square foot state-of-the-art winery.
He brings to Andeluna a global perspective and an unyielding passion for excellence. He is aware that producing great wines requires more than just using grapes of the highest quality; to produce a wine of the highest calibre, one must combine the best winemaking practises, cutting-edge facilities, and exceptional personnel.
