The Pichon family has a lengthy history that dates back to the Middle Ages. Since then, many generations of the family have contributed to the development of Bordeaux.
The estate's founder Pierre de Rauzan's daughter was married in 1964 by Jacques de Pichon, Baron de Longueville. Following then, their ancestors were heavily associated with the Pauillac estate.
The current Chateau Pichon Baron was built in 1851 by Raoul de Pichon-Longueville, whose family resided there until 1933. When AXA-Millésimes bought the property in 1987, they thoroughly renovated the Château and added cutting-edge winemaking machinery.
The vineyard has the HVE Level 3 certification and is responsibly farmed.
Chateau Pichon Baron wines are a traditional, tasteful representation of Pauillac.
