10 miles north of Saint Estephe, in the heart of the Medoc, is the grand and historic Chateau Preuillac, built in 1869. Preuillac was given much-deserved praise when it was added right away to the Crus Bourgeois classification in 1932.
Chateau Preuillac, which was formerly held by the Mau family, has lately undergone a meticulous renovation by its current owners, including new conical fermenters.
30 hectares of responsibly cultivated vines were planted in the vineyard in the 1970s, and winemaker Nathalie Billard expertly transformed them into a traditional, refined expression of the Medoc.
