The owners had the good fortune to have the chance to purchase the Chimney Rock estate in 2004. Hack and Stella Wilson opened their first winery in the Napa Valley in 1980, bringing with them their passion for wine and South African winery design.

And ever since they bought the estate and got involved, they have improved the quality of every part of the estate and its wines by building on that foundation.

To take Chimney Rock to its full potential, they have collaborated closely with their team. They work to bring out the best in the exceptional and spectacular Stags Leap District soil and fruit by focusing on wise and sustainable farming and grape growing, as well as a soft-handed and deliberate approach to winemaking guided by Winemaker, Elizabeth Vianna.
