Establishing authorised outlets where people may sample his products was a brilliant concept by Giulio Cocchi. There were seven Cocchi tasting bars in Piemonte in 1913, and there were soon twelve.
The Bava Family, well-known wine growers in the Monferrato and Langhe, has owned and run Giulio Cocchi since 1978. In order to create the distinctive wines that have made the Cocchi a household name, the winery nevertheless preserves its artisanal character and adheres to the original recipes created by Giulio Cocchi in 1891.
