A fourth-generation winemaker making his mark in Muscadet is Jeremie Huchet.

Jeremie began acquiring some excellent vineyards, which now total 64 hectares, as soon as he took over the family estate in 2001.

He is gradually converting the entire estate to organic viticulture. Jeremie is steadfastly committed to producing wines of the highest calibre while upholding the long-standing customs of Muscadet.

He best explains his philosophy. From generation to generation, "the intelligence of the wine grower is his sense of observation." The many strolls he will take through "his" terroirs, the upkeep and complete regard for the soil's microbiome, the hand-harvesting, the evaluation of the vine's age, care, and replacement if it dies. To keep the site's integrity, all of these items must be done.

He employs concrete eggs as well as new underground concrete vats lined with glass in the cellar, in addition to stainless steel vats.

While the crisp, mineral L'Innatendu Muscadet is a great introduction to Jeremie's vineyards and winemaking approach, his white and red Chapeau wines are youthful wines suited for simple enjoyment.
