Jimbro was created as a result of a group of friends' desire to produce wines and other natural goods in locations that were ecologically significant and protected.

Located where the Duero meets Portugal, the Arribes del Duero Natural Park is a rare natural setting with a rich diversity of flora and fauna. The project's initial steps were made in 2010 on the banks of the River Duero, and Jimbro was then formed.

The towns of Fermoselle and Pinilla de Fermoselle were chosen as the project's base camp from the outset because of the special potential of regional minority autochthonous types that are in risk of extinction as well as the area's depopulation.

The goal of Jimbro is to maintain local biodiversity while promoting the region's sustainable economic and social development.

The project's vineyard and winery are linked by this shared goal. In order to achieve this, the winery project joined a beekeeping project in 2015, which encapsulates the core of their product concept.
