The Follett family has been farming grapes near Langhorne Creek, South Australia, where Lake Breeze is situated, since the 1880s.

The vineyard benefits from the "lake breeze" because the estate is located along the shores of Lake Alexandrina. Greg Follett, a winemaker, was raised on a farm but later left to study at Roseworthy before moving to create wine in France and California.

Greg went back to his roots and began producing wine just from the top 30% of his old vine grapes in 1987.

He quickly established an admirable reputation for regularly crafting exceptional wines, and Lake Breeze is today one of Australia's most prestigious small wineries.
