The very fine and persistent perlage is the first sign of its unmistakable elegance It tantalises the palate with an array of very fine, diamond-like bubbles The bouquet is equally elegant and refined, offering a very playful, tantalisingly fresh sensation Hints of red berries combine with notes of pink grapefruit and fresh hawthorn flowers The aromatic journey continues with secondary aromas of crusty bread and spices

Crasto's varietal Touriga Nacional comes from two of Crasto's higher-altitude vineyards, averaging 300m elevation There is an array of individual plots, and the winemaking team can select those best-suited to the growing season: in warmer years, those facing north and east fare better, while in cooler conditions plots with southerly or westerly aspect are selected This has a classy, cool blueberry, black cherry fruit character with a seasoning of vanilla, white pepper and cream After a little time in the glass, glorious spiced lily, freesia and honeysuckle scents emerge The expressive aromas, succulent texture and fabulous purity and finesse make this really irresistible straight away But if by dint of some superhuman self-control you manage to keep some back, it will undoubtedly reward cellaring

Jarno Bianco Appassimento is a distinctive Italian white wine from Castorani, crafted in the Abruzzo region using the appassimento method. Grapes, dried by a special technique in the underground cellars at Castorani, concentrate flavour and natural sugars, delivering a rich, full-bodied wine with honeyed notes and subtle complexity.  This wine pairs beautifully with seafood, creamy pasta dishes, and soft cheeses. The appassimento technique creates a wine of depth and character, ideal for those seeking something beyond everyday whites. 

This has really fine, delicate, spiced aromas, with beautifully-integrated oak notes adorning a wealth of intense yet subtle fruit character It's incredibly supple and silky, with mouthfilling, super-soft tannins Utterly wonderful, with truffley, foresty complex nuances emerging with time in the glass Rare in Ribera del Duero, El Anejon is a steeply-sloping site - so much so that it had to be terraced in order to be planted with vines, which are around 80% Tinto Fino with the remainder Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon It is one of the region's higher sites, at 870m elevation

With a greenish-golden colour, this exudes lavish aromas of ripe pineapple, coconut cream, golden apples, maple syrup, fresh honeycomb, cinnamon and nutmeg It has a gorgeously rich and decadent texture, with flavours of ripe peaches, almond, vanilla, aniseed, banoffee pie and pineapple If you treat it a bit like a red, and decant it, it gets even better It is a traditional blend of varieties grown on the hills of Collio, on the Italian side of the border with Slovenia What a wine!

This deep-coloured and deep-flavoured Gevrey-Chambertin is a beautifully faithful rendition of the appellation With succulent damson and black cherry fruit character, it has fabulously sumptuous, velvety texture A delicious, classic Burgundy made with a deft touch, that is 100% enjoyable now, and has the superb balance and structure to hold for a number of years

Like Touriga Nacional, Franca is an emblematic variety of the Douro region, although it is usually part of a blend: wines made exclusively from it are extremely rare This is the newest addition to Crasto's single-variety wine collection, and it displays similar, suave, silky, succulent texture to the Touriga Nacional, with a more restrained, less extrovert personality It has similarly concentrated black and blue fruit character, while the floral and spice attributes are present as subtle seasonings There is nothing here to hinder immediate enjoyment, and yet it could also age beautifully

The quintessential, dry and elegant Provence rose: attractive red berries, wild flowers, melon and acacia With vibrant acidity and a lovely finish, this is a wine to come back to again and again

The soil in this Premier Cru is made up of marl, chalk and lots of pebbles (from which it derives its name) Water drains freely, so vine roots must go deep to find it, limiting yields and concentrating the wine Puligny s hallmark tight stoniness is overlaid by an abundance of juicy fruit and rich texture The wine has a lifted mineral nose with subtle scents of honeysuckle and almond, certainly endowed with the vigour one expects from this vineyard The palate is fine, harmonious and svelte on the entry, and demonstrates fine mineral nuance

Pale pink in colour with a light, delicate mousse The nose showcases lots of red fruit and stone fruit notes, citrus zest and fresh flowers The palate is dominated by red fruits, with strawberries and crushed raspberries, redcurrants and rhubarb, alongside red apple, nectarine and orange notes The wine feels elegant and juicy on the palate, with bright fruits, hints of pink peppercorn and a delicate mineral note, leading to a long, zesty finish
