The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon expresses juicy blueberry and purple grape notes, alongside savoury nuances of crushed graphite, mulberry leaf and Bovril; the aromas intensify as the wine is exposed to air On the palate, the flavours are intense and yet the texture is mellow, with velvety tannins and balanced acidity There is an appealing buttery richness, and the juicy fruit flavours persist well on the finish This is made up of 95% Beaulieu Vineyards estate-grown fruit, split roughly 50:50 between the Rutherford and Calistoga districts The 5% that does not come from Beaulieu land is selected from top growers and sites, that the winemaker judges will enhance the balance of the final composition The wine is aged 18 months in French, American and European oak barrels, of which 30% are first-fill

Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon comes exclusively from the distinguished Rutherford Bench terroir, from hand-selected vineyard parcels under the ownership of Beaulieu Vineyard It is matured for 21 months in 100% French oak barrels (80% first-fill) The wine expresses an exquisitely bright and vibrant fresh blackcurrant aroma, that could easily belong to a top Saint-Julien from a top vintage Like its counterparts in Bordeaux, it also evokes nuances of summer vineyard footpath dust (the famous Rutherford Dust note), juicy blackberries and woodland glade wild raspberries straight off the cane On the palate, it has a rich, rounded, velvety nature, with fabulously decadent texture to the tannins, and everything is enlivened by vibrant fruit concentration and harmonious balance This legendary wine could evolve in the cellar for decades, and yet is irresistibly delicious already Crack on!

With a notably dark colour and concentrated black fruit character to match, the Tapestry Reserve unfurls in the glass to reveal deep, balsamic, soy sauce, earthy and spicy notes These add complexity to the gorgeously succulent black cherry fruit and leafy freshness On the palate, it is juicy yet lean, long and focused, with fabulous, fresh, natural acidity, and blackberries and blueberries coming out to play on the finish This sumptuous combination of Bordeaux varieties is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance made up of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc The wine is aged for 22 months in approximately 60% new French oak barrels
