Aster wines embodies the energy and personality of the Ribera del Duero. The team at La Rioja Alta expanded their sights to the Ribera del Duero region in search of the appropriate location to create new, contemporary wines, and they discovered it in Anguix, Burgos.

The Tinta del Pas vineyards were first planted in 1990, and the new winery, Aster, was constructed in 2000. It has a beautiful manor house, a magnificent vinification hall that can contain up to 4,000 French and American oak barrels, and a winery that is outfitted with the most recent equipment.

The exquisite Aster wines, which have won numerous awards and are just bursting with fruit purity, are made by Julio Saenz, the winemaker, and he carefully ages them in wood to add layers of spicy depth.
