The Fonte Della Vigna vineyards are situated on a hillside position with clay soils and a north-east to south-east exposure in the Romagna region of Italy.

Use of a single Guyot trellising method is combined with mechanised and hand harvesting.

Destemmed grapes are fermented for 10 days on the skin at 25°C to improve tanin and colour extraction. Some grapes are hand-harvested.

After racking off, malolactic fermentation is encouraged, then, prior to bottling, the wine is filtered and fined.
