Michel Gayot spent his early years among the vines, surrounded by vineyards. He describes his relationship to the land as having "a visceral attachment to what it offers if it is nurtured and taken care of."

Michel Gayot's parents instilled this attitude in him, passing on to him and his siblings their love of preserving the Burgundy terroir.

Following his studies in management, Michel began working in the French and international wine trade. Then he bought the family estate in Beaujolais and the vineyard in the heart of Burgundy, which he looks after today. His goal is to produce wines with outstanding typicity, intense minerality in his whites, and elegance and delicacy in his reds.
