Roussanne Wines

Roussanne Wines from Great Wines Direct.

White wine grape Roussanne was developed in France's Rhône wine region, where it is frequently combined with Marsanne.

In the northern Rhône appellations of Crozes-Hermitage AOC, Hermitage AOC, and Saint-Joseph AOC, it is the only other white variety outside Marsanne that is permitted.

It is one of six white grapes permitted in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC appellation in the southern Rhône, where it may be added to red wines.

Additionally, Roussanne is grown in a number of New World wine-producing areas, including California, Washington, Texas, South Africa, and Australia, as well as in several European wine-producing areas, including Crete, Tuscany, and Spain.
