The original 1 hectare Stargazer vineyard on Back Tea Tree Road was planted by Norm and Jan Gangell in 2004 and is situated in the Tea Tree sub region at the northern end of the Coal River Valley.
Stargazer Wines, which spans eleven hectares, grows almost equal amounts of Riesling and pinot noir. It also has an olive grove.
They purchased the property in 2016, and in late 2017 they added two additional hectares of vines, including more Riesling, more chardonnay, and more pinot noir (four additional clones).
