UK and Europe Wine Delivery Information
All our wine deliveries are hand picked and packed in our high spec, branded courier-safe cardboard boxes, at our dedicated wine facility in London, UK
The Great Wines Direct group deliver to UK Mainland and its Islands verified postal addresses, excluding P.O.Boxes and addresses deemed unsuitable by our delivery department.
We also deliver to the following non-mainland parts of the UK
- Isle of Wight
- Isle of Man
- Northern Ireland (BT Post Code)
- Southern Ireland (Eire)
- Scottish Islands
- Channel Islands. (Jersey and Guernsey only)

If you are in any doubt please check with us prior to completion of order process, as we retain the right to refuse delivery if we deem necessary.
European and International Deliveries
We deliver to all European destinations and also Internationally.
We are currently UNABLE to ship to the United States due to strict import rulings on alcohol, but we are investigating the possibility of this.
The delivery charge for EU destinations is a flat rate covering from 6 to 30 bottles. Please call for competitive quotes over this amount and for all outside EU requests.
The standard delivery charge in the UK is just £7.95 and applies to each delivery address in mainland UK.
FREE DELIVERY ON ALL ORDERS OVER £325 MAINLAND UK ONLY
Deliveries are carried out either by our own dedicated drivers or by our wine specialist, National Courier company and are usually fulfilled within1 and 5 working days of order. (Although we have managed Edinburgh next day from our London office!)
You will be notified via email by the courier company of what day your order will be delivered and also of a tracking number that can be used to track your parcel here - Track My Parcel
If you are not in when we try to deliver, a card will be left inviting you to call to re-schedule or collect from a local depot to you.
Please leave any delivery instructions in the 'Special Instructions' area during checkout, such as 'leave wine in shed, porch, with neighbours etc' and we will endeavour to honour your request.
Saturday deliveries are available depending on size of order and destination. Please call or email before 11.00 am to arrange this.
There is a minimum bottle order quantity of 6 bottles.

If you do wish to return any products to Great Wines Direct the order will be treated as a cancellation unless it is for the reason defined below.
If the product is delivered damaged or the wrong product is sent in error, please contact our customer service department and we will arrange for a replacement to be dispatched as soon as possible and for the damaged/wrong goods to be collected. If that wine is no longer available, we will offer an alternative product or give you the opportunity of a refund.
You may, if you wish for whatever reason, cancel your order. The cancellation period is up to 7 working days from the day after you received your "unwanted wine". We will reimburse all monies for the purchase within 30 days from the date you notify us of the cancellation. The wines will be returned to us at the customers cost. If the wines are not returned by the customer we will arrange collection and the collection cost will be deducted from your refund. Failure to return the wines, or make available for collection, will place the customer in breach of a statutory duty.
If you cancel an order you shall be under a duty to restore the wines to Great Wines Direct. You must retain and store the wines in good condition until we can arrange collection and the cost of collection will be deducted from your refund.
If you fail to make the goods available for collection within 30 days of your notice of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods, at which point a new purchase contract will be made and you will be charged for your order at the current price set out on the Great Wines Direct web site.
