The Wine – Premium Italian Wines from Friuli Venezia Giulia

Monte Maria wines come from the beautiful Friuli Venezia Giulia region of north-eastern Italy, an area celebrated for its rich winemaking heritage and exceptional wines. Nestled between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, the region benefits from a distinctive climate and diverse soils that create ideal conditions for producing wines of elegance, freshness and character.
Combining traditional Italian winemaking with modern expertise, Monte Maria offers wines that reflect the quality and authenticity of their origins. Each bottle celebrates the distinctive flavours and craftsmanship that have made Italian wines admired around the world.

The Estate – Generations of Family Winemaking

Monte Maria is produced by the Mosolo family, whose winemaking heritage spans generations in the picturesque village of Faedis, Friuli Venezia Giulia. Established by Angelo Mosolo and developed through successive generations, the family winery combines a deep respect for its land with a commitment to producing wines of outstanding quality.
The estate carefully manages every stage of production, from vineyard cultivation and grape selection through to vinification and bottling. Traditional knowledge passed down through the family is complemented by modern winemaking technology, ensuring each wine reflects the character of the region and the care invested in its production.

The Winemaker – The Mosolo Family

The Mosolo family's passion for winemaking began with founder Angelo Mosolo, whose knowledge and dedication laid the foundations for the winery's success. His son Gleni continued this tradition, bringing decades of vineyard experience and a forward-thinking approach to wine production.

Today, the next generation, including Michele Mosolo, continues to develop the family business, combining inherited expertise with innovation and modern techniques. Their philosophy remains rooted in respect for nature, careful vineyard management and a belief that exceptional wine begins with the quality of the grapes.
