A wine of serious concentration and structure, this has an immediately complex and concentrated nose of both fresh and dried cherry, cranberry, toasted oak, iron, liquorice, star anise and vanilla The flavours in the mouth are every bit as complex - rosehips, black and red liquorice and a rich, chocolatey character The tannin is pretty obvious when it is young, although it has lots of energy and vivacity that makes it tempting to drink early…but probably better to keep it for a bit
