Deep, saturated purple in colour, this has an exceptionally concentrated aroma of super-ripe black cherries, cream and peppery spice It tastes the way it smells - concentrated but so fresh and juicy, with the beginnings of complexity: freesia, clove, star anise and white chocolate The tannins are present yet supple, and the overall texture is succulent and delicious This could age for a decade or so, but it's gorgeous already The wine comes from vineyard terraces high up on the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains, just below the vines used for 'Les Secrets'
