Agricola Tenuta Colpaola epitomises a love of Verdicchio as well as Matelica and the Marche region, the places that give it its distinctive character.

Since the 1970s, the Tenuta Colpaola estate in the Braccano Frazione of Matelica has been owned by the Porcarelli family. The family used to sell the grapes to the neighbourhood co-op for many years, but in 2013 they began bottling their own wines, and they haven't looked back since.

At 650 metres above sea level, the 10 hectares of primarily east-facing vineyard of Agricola Tenuta Colpaola, which are the highest in the Matelica denomination, are farmed organically and are fully certified. The estate is surrounded by trees and other vegetation, and the family strives to live sustainably.
