Nearly 200 years have passed since the Chavy family first settled in Puligny, but the narrative really begins in 1976, when Gérard Chavy made the decision to cease selling his grapes to negociants and instead bottle his wine under his own brand.

Alain Chavy and Jean-Louis, Gerard's sons, decided to divide the estate in 2003 due to artistic disagreements and established their own Domaines.
