Guilhem Viau's Bergerie du Capucin 15-hectare estate is his labour of love. From vineyards at a height of 658 metres on the first spurs of the Cevennes and Massif Central ranges, he crafts wines that have won numerous awards.

His ancestor, whom Guilhem describes as "an elegant, beautiful, very vivacious lady; a shepherdess on the high plains of the Bergerie du Capucin," inspired the name of the Dame Jeanne collection.

In order to preserve the ecosystem of this untamed area and to allow for the full expression of the garrigue and wild herbs that are distinctive to this region, the vineyards are grown sustainably.
