The Carrick Winery single-estate vineyard is situated in Bannockburn, a part of the Cromwell Basin in Central Otago, which spans along the Kawarau River's southern bank.

At Carrick, they have a deep appreciation for the natural resources they have access to. Their vineyard has been organically managed since 2008, and Biogro has certified it as such. SWNZ has also given the company its sustainable certification.

With healthier habitats for flora and fauna and a safer work environment for their employees, they feel that this strategy is better for their vineyard, the winery, and the surrounding environment.
