Five generations of winemakers have lived in the Fruili Colli Orientali area at Castello di Buttrio. The mediaeval castle and vineyards were restored when local legend Marco Felluga bought the property in 1994. His daughter Alessandra and his granddaughters are continuing this work with commitment and tenacity.

The 10 hectares of vines that surround the castle are meticulously planted along the mountain amphitheatres that border the undulating slopes.

The property consists of old vine portions planted with indigenous varieties that date back to the 1930s, 1940s, and early 1950s and symbolise Fruili's historical traditions as well as the estate's heritage. 

Alessandra creates gorgeous, contemporary, and authentic wines that are exquisitely bottled and provide a sense of this magnificent estate by fusing history and innovation.
