Cellier des Princes is the only and only co-operative cellar in Chateauneuf du Pape.

It was founded in 1925 by a group of winegrowers who agreed to collaborate in the interests of fraternity and solidarity These early winegrowers proved to be some of the most influential persons in the region's history, with several of them instrumental in the establishment of France's first AOC, Chateauneuf du Pape, just 11 years later.

The co-operative now includes 240 growers who work together to produce and distribute almost 750ha of grapes each vintage. The majority of production is devoted to red wines, however some whites are also available.

The appointment of Philippe Cambie, a renowned oenologist, as consultant partner in 2017 marked a watershed moment for the winery.

Cellier des Princes has began to rise in quality under his cautious eye, living up to its iconic appellation.
