At Château Aydie, 4 generations of winegrowers have come after one another since 1927.In AOP Madiran and AOP Pacherenc du Vic Bilh, the Laplace family is listed as the 'Owner - Harvesting' as part of the appellation's history.
Aydie Castle is atop a hill, the Pyrenees serving as its backdrop. It is a huge Belle Epoque mansion that belonged to Joseph Peyré, a Bearnais author who won the Goncourt Prize in 1935.They have emphasised the terroirs within this estate to create great wines, of which the two historic vintages, Château d'Aydie and Odé Aydie, are the range's flagships.
