In the Beaujolais area, the Chateau de Grand Pre consists of a stunning castle from the 18th century with vaulted cellars, a 'lieu dit' vineyard, and an eight-hectare family domain. A further two hectares of vineyard are located in the village of Morgon, two kilometres from the winery, which is situated in the heart of Fleurie.
The cellars and vines at Chateau de Grand Pre were in disrepair when Louis and Renée Bertrand acquired the property in 1972. They took control of the estate and rebuilt and replanted it to give it new life.
Today, Chateau de Grand Pre is managed by their grandson Romain Zordan, who has introduced a contemporary and organic philosophy along with sustainable grape cultivation.
