Wine initially emerged in the history of the Chateau de l'Aumerade in the 1st century AD, but Henry IV brought it to public attention in the 16th century. The location's beauty and wine's high calibre made the French king fall in love. He gave the Duke of Sully, his prime minister, the task of introducing the wines to the French court and planting the country's first blackberry bush and magnificent plane trees, which still grace the terrace of the château, on February 15, 1594.

Henri Fabre bought the estate of Chateau de l'Aumerade in 1932 after falling in love with it. He was among the original bottlers and founders of Côtes de Provence wines and only 18 property owners in Provence are permitted to claim the title of Cru Classé, which they received in 1955 after renovating the château.

Louis Fabre, their son, assisted them in increasing wine sales and exports. One of the first bottles in Provence was created in 1956 by Charlotte Fabre, who was inspired by an Emile Gallé pâtes de verre vase. The 'Marie-Christine' was hereby born.

Marie-Christine Fabre-Grimaldi and her husband Vincent have continued this heritage by drawing on 400 years of devotion, following in the footsteps of her grandparents and father.

The wines are evolving, the family is growing, and the next generation, Caroline, Clément, and Delphine, are already shaping the future of Château de l'Aumerade.
