The distinctive topography of Château Guiraud has always encouraged a special sense of independence, starting from the very beginning. It was built on a soil of gravel, sand, and clay, surrounded by trees in the heart of the Sauternes wine region, and covering a total area of 128 hectares.

The Château has always had a distinctive presence thanks to its classic black and gold label, its groundbreaking commitment to biodiversity, and its preference for sauvignon blanc grapes. It was purchased in 1766 by the Guiraud family, who were Protestant and republican merchants in a Catholic, pro-royalty stronghold.

Château Guiraud creates a crisp and modern Sauternes with a wonderfully balanced sweetness after receiving the Terres de Natures label in 2022. Sandrine Garbay, a modest woman known for her amazing expertise, is the winemaker. Guiraud's Sauternes is a ground-breaking trademark in white and gold tones.
