Overlooking the Gironde estuary, the Lynch-Bages vineyard (1855 Grand Cru Classé) sprawls across a lovely gravelly hilltop. The estate was previously owned by the famous Lynch family, who were of Irish heritage; the Cazes family bought it in 1939.
