Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard purchased seven hectares of vineyards 46 years ago. Acknowledgement of the excellence of its terroir, expertise, and wines had already been awarded to the property having previously benefited from the distinction of Cru Classé des Côtes-de-Provence. In 2023, only 18 domains currently hold this accolade.
Early on, Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard recognised the promise of Provence wines. They have never stopped raising the bar on quality, actively helping to confer the letters of nobility on Provence rosé wine.
The entire family was then committed to a mission: to elevate Sainte Marguerite's reputation in Provence by creating premium rosé, white, and red wines. A difficult path that makes no concessions.
The Chateau Sainte Marguerite vineyard in Provence has expanded significantly since the seven hectares were bought in 1977, comprising over 200 hectares on some of the most gorgeous terroirs of the AOP Côtes-de-Provence.
In 2003, the estate received Ecocert accreditation. In particular, the absence of fungicide, insecticide, and herbicide is indicative of this. With registration with the Vegan Society for the Fantastique line, the estate certifies that all vegetables are produced entirely without using any animal products.
