A historic winery in Pessac-Léognan, Château Valoux is owned and managed by Sophie Lurton of Château Bouscaut. Just 10 hectares of grapes total, mostly in clay, gravel, and limestone soils, are planted at Château Valoux.

In Graves, Bordeaux, where the terrain with mountainous relief provides unusual gravel deposits rolled by the Garonne for about 2 million years, there is a great example of the Pessac-Leognan appellation. 

A flawless Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot mix is offered by Chateau Valoux. Prior to traditional vinification, grapes are hand-harvested from modest grand cru vineyards with limestone and clay soils.
