The Cooperativa Santo Isidro de Pegoes, established in 1958, produces Cintila wines. The cooperative, which consists of 140 winemakers, has access to more than 1,100 hectares of vineyards in the Setubal Peninsula's Terras do Sado region in Portugal.

Sandy soils, rich in minerals, and cooling Atlantic winds are advantages for this coastal region. One of Portugal's most progressive cooperatives, Santo Isidro de Pegoes, is led by one of the country's most renowned winemakers, Jaime Quendera.
