Col Solare is a collaboration between two important wine producers who are recognised leaders in their respective regions: Marchesi Antinori of Tuscany and Chateau Ste. Michelle of Washington State.

Col Solare's objective has been to integrate these two distinct viticultural and winemaking cultures in order to produce world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from the greatest Washington fruit since its inception in 1995.

With the establishment of a new winery and the planting of the estate vineyard on Red Mountain in 2007, the aim shifted to highlighting the Cabernet Sauvignon of this distinct AVA as well as the distinctive fruit of the Col Solare estate vineyard.
