The family's estate, which was established in 1971, is currently managed by Emma Di Filippo and her two sons, Francesco and Filippo Franchi.

The Di Filippo estate has held an organic certification since 1994. Di Filippo practises organic farming and follows the biodynamic farming tenets because he respects nature's rhythm. In turn, this leads to lesser fruit yields, which produce wines with extraordinary distinctiveness.

The 30-hectare estate, which is located in Cannara, Perugia, overlooks Assisi from the undulating hills between Torgiano and Montefalco in Umbria. Four hectares of vineyard have been set aside for low impact farming, which relies heavily on animals and does not use any technology. This is done out of the deepest respect for the environment.
