Michel Cazes established Domaine Cazes in Rivesaltes in 1895, which is in the Roussillon region, midway between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea.

A pioneer of biodynamic farming, Domaine Cazes in Roussillon has been exclusively run in this manner for 25 years.

Current owner Emmanuel Cazes claims that the family didn't start using this strategy for business purposes, but rather to cooperate with nature so that the vineyards would be expressed in the wines and would survive sustainably for future generations.
