Since the family's arrival from Italy to serve the pope in Avignon in 1264, wine has been produced on Domaine de la Solitude for many hundreds of years.

Two bishops and a pope, who were among the ancestors of the Lançon family, are represented by the three caps on the label. Currently, brothers Jean and Michel Lançon are handing over the domain to Michel's son Florent, which includes 38 hectares of land in the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation.

Florent, who is dedicated to advancing winemaking technology while upholding traditional values, has just begun using brand-new concrete vats in the form of tulips that were originally created for Cheval Blanc.

The wines of Domaine de la Solitude are recognised for their distinctive elegance and ability to capture the true essence of their terroir.
