On the rocky plateau between Tavel and Lirac, on the Rhône's other side from Châteauneuf du Pape, is the modest (7 ha) estate known as Domaine des Cigalounes.

Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre make up the complex combination known as Domaine des Cigalounes Lirac. The wine's 20% oak barrel ageing results in a meaty, well-structured wine with notes of damsons, garrigue herbs, and cocoa.
