The 60-hectare estate known as Domaine de Pourthié is located a short distance from the Mediterranean Sea, close to the French city of Agde. The Pourthié family's fourth generation is presently in charge of it.
The soils include gravelly clay and limestone, and the vineyards are situated on a ridge that was created during the Ice Age. The grapes ripen in a balanced manner, maximising their aromas thanks to the terrain and the warmth of the Mediterranean.
