Since its inception, Domaine Laporte has worked to improve the quality of its terroirs in order to showcase the distinct character and true essence of our wines. 

The estate spans 21 hectares (52 acres) in the heart of the Sancerre appellation, and is planted with Sauvignon Blanc for whites and Pinot Noir for reds and rosés.

Each oftheir wines is vinified independently to express the type of soil on which the vines are planted, such as 'Le Rochoy,' a monopoly vineyard on flint terroir, or 'La Comtesse,' which is located on the Kimmeridgian marls of Chavignol's famous hillside 'Les Monts Damnés.'

Domaine Laporte has been owned by the Bourgeois Family, a long-standing producer in Chavignol, since 1986.

Every generation that has worked at the winery has contributed their expertise, vintage after vintage. The domain's historic plot by plot method is a distinguishing feature that is at the heart of our vast variety and is a crucial component to the Laporte wines, which can be found in many exceptional restaurants and wine shops in France and around the world.

Our family estate, led by a youthful and dedicated team, is now regarded as one of the top producers in the Sancerre appellation.
