Serge Laloue built the Domaine in the 1960s, which is five kilometres south of Sancerre in Thauvenay. Since the 1990s, Christine and her brother Franck have carried on their father's labour, and most recently, Clément, Franck's son, who studied viticulture, joined the Domain.

The estate's focus is on taking an environmentally conscious stance while working meticulously in the vineyards to maintain the natural balance of the vines and produce grapes of the greatest calibre.

As their farming practises were already extremely similar to organic farming, the Domain Serge Laloue began the conversion to organic farming in 2019.

2023 will mark the first vintage that is officially organic. A supplemental certification that recognises environmental biodiversity and natural resource management, HVE, has been awarded to the domain.
