The Emilie Laurance trademark honour the daughter of a well-known wine trader from Saumur whose family was connected to Jean-Baptiste Ackerman. After getting married to the latter in 1829, Emilie began to financially and morally support all of her husband's aspirations. In 1830, they collaborated to produce the first Saumur quality sparkling wines.

By running the House while her husband was away, this strong woman helped the family business grow and allowed it to become a benchmark in the production of superb sparkling wines from the Loire Valley, both in France and beyond.

The signature grape of the Loire Valley, Chenin Blanc, distinguishes all of the wines and brings out the freshness and finesse of each individual blend. This enables us to offer a full range of French-style sparkling  wines, exclusively developed under the Emilie Laurance brand. By bringing out the aromas of white fleshy fruit and delicate vanilla undertones, we hope to make this art accessible to the largest audience possible.
