Since 1352, the Colombini family has controlled property in Montalcino, and the Fattoria dei Barbi since the late 18th century. The estate has 350 hectares of fields and vineyards in southern Tuscany, including Montalcino, Scansano, and Chianti.

Since 1892, they have been producing Brunello and were the first to export it to Europe, America, and Asia.

Their wines have earned accolades all over the world since the 1800s, and their blue label has always been the most well-known Brunello.

Stefano Cinelli Colombini owns the Fattoria dei Barbi today, carrying on a story that has seen the Colombini family linked to these lands for more than six centuries; a long time in which the family has always defended the traditions and values of the Montalcino culture, whose last and most precious fruit is Brunello.
