The GOBILLARD vineyard's birth dates to 1933, when Gervais Gobillard made the decision to become self-sufficient and, much to the dismay of his family, purchased a hectare of grapes in Hautvillers, the village where Dom Pérignon and his wife, who was also the owner of a few plots, with the meagre resources he had amassed. He desires to grow his own wine and make his own champagne.

Only the large trading houses were prosperous at the time. Gervais and other small winegrowers are solely aware of suffering, and many of them give up. He doesn't give up on his belief that not all champagne will be offered to the "Great" of this planet. He developed his own brand after working hard for several years, and more importantly, he is already gaining the loyalty of his clients.
